On-Site Scottish Water DOMS Course

The DOMS training is a requirement for all individuals working on water distributions activities within the Scottish Water region. A trainer-led course, delivered face-to-face.

Description

Costs shown on the website include the EUSR registration and virtual card(s).  From April 1st 2024, the cost of EUSR registration fees and cards will be increasing (this will be reflected in our costs of courses/EUSR cards).

Candidates now receive virtual cards (accessible on mobile phone) instead of physical plastic cards.  If plastic cards are required as an addition, these can be added to your order at checkout. Please note, a plastic card cannot be ordered in replacement of a virtual card.

Please note costs shown are exclusive of VAT.  VAT is added at the checkout.

This course requires a minimum of two candidates to run so if numbers are low the course may be cancelled - if this was to happen any candidates booked on would be informed with at least 7 days notice and offered the choice of either a different course date or full refund.

Course Overview: The Scottish Water DOMS training is a requirement for all individuals working on water distributions activities within the Scottish Water region.

Duration: Half a day (approx. 3-4 hours)

Registration: Individuals training for DOMS must hold a valid National Water Hygiene registration before attending a Scottish Water DOMS course. If candidates require the Water Hygiene card, we do offer a joint 2-in-1 course or separate EUSR Water Hygiene courses (please see our course page for a list of course dates).

Scottish Water’s Distribution Operations Maintenance Strategy (DOMS) scheme is a Bespoke programme owned by Scottish Water and a requirement for individuals working on Scottish Water sites.

The scheme supports the Scottish Water region in safeguarding the water quality reaching customers. Registration is required for all individuals working on water distribution activities within the Scottish Water region.

The scheme covers 12 modules dealing with different aspects of the distribution, operations and maintenance of the water supply.

Course Duration and Registration

The course duration is normally half a day (approx. 3-4 hours). The course is an interactive trainer-led delivery and candidates are invited to share and discuss experiences with the group.

After successful completion of the training programme and assessment, EUSR registration is gained and is valid for three years from the date of assessment.

Please note, individuals must hold a valid National Water Hygiene registration before attending a Scottish Water DOMS course.

If requiring both, please see our combined 2-in-1 course, or a separate EUSR Water Hygiene course can be booked and attended on a date prior to sitting the DOMS.
